Job Description/Overview:

My client is a quickly-growing quasi-startup company in a new space within the consumer products and chemical industry. They are looking for a technical whiz who will be able to provide steady leadership for hourly people as well as guidance to company leaders. They use crystallization, distillation, filtration, drying and packaging equipment at this facility and are in the midst of ramping up production. The equipment in this facility is about 2 years ago. This role will be seen within the facility as a technical subject-matter-expert and will interface with all levels within the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering preferred – will consider a Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Engineer with the right background
• 5+ years of post-college, manufacturing experience, out of chemicals, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing (previous cGMP experience a major plus)
• Experience with the following process unit operations is a plus: crystallization, de-waxing, solvent recovery, distillation/fractionation, drying
• The ability to learn quickly and wear several hats will be critical traits for doing well in this role
• Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with and training operators and other technical personnel
