Our client, a top national law firm, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate to join their Business Litigation practice group in Austin.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Texas.
- 4-6 years of substantive experience in complex business litigation, including real estate, trademarks and copyrights, securities, insurance, franchisor/franchisee disputes, and corporate and partnership issues.
- Strong trial skills, including experience with hearings, depositions, and a comfort level with trial settings under reasonable oversight.
- Proven law firm experience, with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Texas courts and rules is an essential skill for this role, and out-of-state candidates will not be considered at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex business litigation cases, covering a wide range of substantive areas such as partnership and shareholder disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, breach of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Handle real estate litigation, including developer disputes, broker defense, lender litigation, and partnership disputes.
- Collaborate with a team of seasoned attorneys in a dynamic and challenging legal environment.
