Job description:

We are seeking a Physical Therapist, licensed in the state of practice, to join our team. This role involves planning, evaluating, and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment programs for patients. The ideal candidate will maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, adhering to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans:
    • Plan, evaluate, and modify patient-specific physical therapy programs in collaboration with physicians.
    • Administer treatments according to physician orders, seeking clarification on instructions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team:
    • Consult with physicians and medical staff to address patient care concerns and ensure effective treatment.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Complete patient evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner, adhering to ARA/ARTS guidelines.
    • Accurately bill patients and insurance companies following established procedures, and work with the Business Office to resolve billing issues.
  • Patient Education:
    • Educate patients and their families on home care instructions, including exercise programs and follow-up care.
  • Supervision and Audits:
    • Supervise physical therapy aides as needed.
    • Perform periodic internal documentation audits as directed by the Director or Assistant Director of Rehabilitation.
  • Professional Development:
    • Participate in professional development activities, including attending required meetings, in-services, and maintaining licensure and professional affiliations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapy License in the state of practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
