POSITION: Process Engineer

SCOPE: The purpose of this role is to hold, improve, and transfer knowledge related to various manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for process improvement & assurance, supporting product implementation, defining and starting up new investments and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating and conducting assigned development programs to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives that lead to improved products, processes, and technology.
• Identifying cost-savings and process improvement projects and moving them from concept to implementation.
• Develop, implement, and revise process controls and operating procedures
• Utilizing extensive process data systems to monitor and improve operation processes
• Plan and conduct tests to evaluate process changes, statistically analyze the data and report the results.
• Plan trials, conduct trials, and analyze data to evaluate processing options, and assess quality problems.
• Identify corrective actions to improve safety, improve recovery, reduce customer rejects and increase production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline
• Six Sigma/Lean Certification and Working experience with Statistical Processes
• Experience conducting product failure analysis, root cause and effect analysis, and structural problem solving (8D, 5 whys)
• 5+years’ experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
