Position Overview: As an Electrical Engineer specializing in switchgear design, you will leverage your 10+ years of experience to design and implement advanced power distribution and control systems that comply with UL981/1558 standards. You will play a key role in ensuring project success through your technical expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power distribution and control systems, including protective relays, PLC controls, SCADA, DCS systems, and multi-source transfer systems for low voltage switchboard and switchgear products.
- Collaborate effectively within the Engineering Department to execute custom designs that meet project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with UL, ANSI, and NEMA standards throughout the design and testing phases.
- Conduct UL testing of LV/MV equipment to validate designs and performance.
- Provide technical support to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity in communication and project objectives.
- Optimize engineering processes and productivity using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Work closely with field operations to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of experience in the Power Distribution and Controls industry.
- Proven proficiency in the design of low voltage switchboard and switchgear products.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a detail-oriented approach to engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities, facilitating effective collaboration within teams and with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while driving technical compliance and quality in designs.
- Familiarity with industrial control panels and experience as an OEM consultant is a plus.

Education:
