Position: Regional Sales Manager – Agriculture / Irrigation
Location: Southeast (GA / SC / NC / TN / FL)
International Irrigation company with strong presence in the agriculture market is growing their presence in the Southeast market and needs a strong sales person that can work directly with Dealers and Distributors.
Individual must have sales experience in irrigation or related agriculture segments and needs to have an engineering / technical degree, where they can roll up the sleeves.
Position requires a critical balance of agricultural market knowledge with proven experience, customer facing capabilities, technical orientation, and sales orientation.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the total management of sales activities in the territory, include but not limited to providing sales, marketing, and technical support, product/technical information, engineering specifications, technical submittals and trouble-shooting assistance to dealers, consulting engineers, end-users, and other sales representatives.
· Provide pre- and post-sales, support.
- Provide technical consulting on company’s products to prospective irrigation customers, designers, architects, and engineers
- Manage and supports the dealers, and distributors
- Extensive travels within territory
Background
- Technical experience in the agriculture irrigation market.
- Knowledge and experience selling into the irrigation / pump industry.
- Effective solution selling abilities.
· Experience in conducting product seminars to large professional groups.
· Demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor.
· Able to perform financial calculations, forecasting, create and manage budgets.
Education and Experience
· BA in an engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
· 3-5 years in a similar role with familiarity in irrigation.
