Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join their team at a prosperous aerospace facility in the Cromwell/Wallingford, CT area. This position involves repairing and maintaining industrial machinery to ensure optimal operation. The role will be on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and experience in industrial machinery maintenance, particularly within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Machinery Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, including CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to prevent production downtime.

Machinery Installation and Assembly:
- Install, assemble, and align mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering specifications and safety protocols.
- Ensure that all machinery is functioning efficiently and safely.

Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to prolong machinery life and ensure reliable operation.
- Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate equipment to meet performance standards.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical failures and implement solutions.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, performing repairs and testing systems to restore functionality.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Follow all local and federal regulations concerning machinery repair, maintenance, and safety.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industries.
- Strong background in repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, including motors, conveyors, and CNC equipment.

Skills:
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve issues.

Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., millwright, industrial maintenance) are a plus.
