Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Execution

  • Supervise on-site construction to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison with healthcare administrators, facility representatives, and medical professionals, ensuring that construction aligns with patient-care needs.
  • Manage self-perform work and subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to hospital safety regulations and infection control standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Plan and supervise craft foremen and field staff, including workforce allocation, material procurement, and equipment coordination.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, hospital infection control policies (ICRA), and safety best practices.
  • Identify and resolve construction challenges in active healthcare environments, minimizing disruptions to patient care.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Lead project meetings with healthcare clients, subcontractors, and design teams to maintain alignment on project objectives.
  • Train and mentor field engineers and junior superintendents, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Schedule & Quality Control

  • Implement efficient, healthcare-driven project schedules to meet hospital opening dates and minimize downtime in active medical facilities.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards, ensuring seamless integration of medical equipment, sterile environments, and specialty hospital finishes.

Qualifications & Experience

βœ” 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in healthcare, hospital, and medical facility construction.
βœ” Expertise in new construction, renovations, and occupied healthcare space projects ranging from $20M to $50M.
βœ” Proven ability to manage infection control risk assessments (ICRA), sterile environment protocols, and healthcare-specific MEP coordination.
βœ” Experience with self-perform work, including demolition, structural concrete, rough carpentry, drywall, and Division 10 specialties in hospital settings.
βœ” Proficiency in Microsoft Project, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Procore.
βœ” OSHA 30 Certification required; ASHE Healthcare Construction Certification preferred.

βš’ Must be able to climb scaffolds and ladders, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, and work in physically demanding environments.
