Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our team. This role involves delivering a full range of tax services to clients across various industries while playing a key role in the development of the firm’s tax services division. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a client-focused mindset.
Major Responsibilities & Duties

Manage all tax engagements to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.

Prepare and/or review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.

Prepare and/or review current and deferred tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.

Conduct quarterly and year-end tax planning estimates for clients.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Oversee engagement planning, organization, and delegation to ensure efficiency and quality.

Manage engagement economics, including billing, collections, and profitability.

Provide education, training, and mentorship to staff to support professional growth.

Participate in the growth and expansion of the tax practice.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Have:

Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation.

Recent tax preparation experience is required.

Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions under ASC 740.

Active CPA license.

Excellent project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership, training, and mentoring capabilities.

Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and a cooperative attitude.
Preferred:

Prior experience with a “Big 4”, National, or Regional accounting firm.

Familiarity with tax preparation and research software, including ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement, CCH, RIA, and BNA.

Advanced degree in accounting, tax, or law.

Demonstrated success in a sales-based culture and commitment to expanding the tax practice.
