The Electrical Engineer for Capital & Automation Projects will lead and support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and automation solutions for large-scale capital projects in a metals production plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee the electrical and automation aspects of capital and automation projects from concept to commissioning, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
- Electrical Design & Analysis: Develop and review detailed electrical designs, single-line diagrams, power distribution systems, and control system architecture for new installations or upgrades.

Automation Systems Development:
- Design and program automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms.
- Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate automation solutions into production processes.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and automation within industrial or manufacturing environments; metals industry experience is preferred.

Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM).
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of power systems, automation, and process control in heavy industries.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
