Our client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their national Healthcare practice. The position is available in multiple office locations, with a strong preference for the Denver office.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2+ years of substantive experience in healthcare law.
- Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following healthcare law areas:
- State licensure of healthcare entities and practitioners.
- Government payor enrollment, reimbursement, and audits (Medicare, Medicaid, and contracted Medicare/Medicaid plans).
- Healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including federal anti-kickback, Stark Law, and CMP provisions.
- Government investigations and related litigation.
- HIPAA, privacy, and security compliance.
- Healthcare system operations and/or payor contracting.
- Regulatory or transactional support for healthcare M&A deals.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
- Motivated self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and the ambition to contribute to the growth of the national healthcare practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise healthcare clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including state licensure, reimbursement issues, and fraud and abuse laws.
- Assist in government investigations and related litigation involving healthcare entities and practitioners.
- Provide legal counsel on HIPAA, privacy, and security compliance issues.
- Support transactional and regulatory aspects of healthcare mergers and acquisitions.
- Work closely with a team of experienced attorneys in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
