Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of clients with complex mental health needs.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement harm minimisation strategies, including crisis intervention for suicide and violence risk cases.
- Provide individual and group-based therapy, ensuring best practices in psychological treatment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain professional standards in documentation, reporting, and compliance with APS and AHPRA guidelines.
- Engage in case management, crisis response, and safety monitoring.
- Supervise and mentor students and less experienced staff as appropriate.
- Contribute to professional development and remain up to date with industry best practices.
- Actively participate in community engagement and advocacy initiatives.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full registration under APS and AHPRA.
- Experience in psychological assessments, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatment approaches.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as CRM and SharePoint.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Queensland Drivers License.
