Job description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement harm minimisation strategies, including crisis intervention for suicide and violence risk cases.
  • Provide individual and group-based therapy, ensuring best practices in psychological treatment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain professional standards in documentation, reporting, and compliance with APS and AHPRA guidelines.
  • Engage in case management, crisis response, and safety monitoring.
  • Supervise and mentor students and less experienced staff as appropriate.
  • Contribute to professional development and remain up to date with industry best practices.
  • Actively participate in community engagement and advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full registration under APS and AHPRA.
  • Experience in psychological assessments, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatment approaches.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as CRM and SharePoint.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Queensland Drivers License.
