Quality Assurance Manager 
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Senior Quality Manager provides supervision,
coaching, and managing of the Quality Department. The Quality Department
management includes managing all departmental personnel, maintaining quality control
documentation, Infinity SPC system, bottle package specifications, floor work instructions,
verification of daily job packs and labels, special projects, Lean and improvement
recommendations, provide training to existing and new employees, maintain QC equipment,
test methods and troubleshooting, first article reports and QC monthly reports. Additionally,
the Senior Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining the certification for Food Safety, all
customer non-conformance issues including communication and reporting, developing and
managing customer relationships, managing requirements for new products, and developing
the Quality strategy and vision for the facility.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain the Food Safety Quality, HACCP and GMP programs
 Perform multiple monthly audits ensuring compliance with IFS PacSecure Standards.
 Maintain the HACCP Program, lead meetings, provide leadership and oversight of
program standards.
 Monitor GMPs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
 Serve as the food safe coordinator.
 Organize and facilitate the yearly blowdown process.
 Organize and facilitate the Leadership Team Meetings.
 Monitor pest control activities with service provider.
 
Job Description

Provide guidance, oversight and supervision to the Quality Department
 Supervise and coach Quality department employees, providing back-up as needed.
Create visibility and accountability by interacting with processes and individuals on the
floor.
 Managing and creating product specifications for parts, packaging, and bills of material
as needed. Verifying processes are in place ensuring these items are on production
lines to support production.
 Perform any special projects as needed; SPC, equipment, gauges, software etc.
 Evaluate SPC data and determine recommendations and corrective actions based on
findings.
 Train and provide continuous education for employees on the processes, work
instructions, and workmanship criteria as defined by the management system.
 Communicate to all management the status of process and product quality issue
immediately with full detail.
 Document processes, procedures, work instructions, job aids, and forms necessary to
provide continuous improvement to the QC management system.
 Supervise the resources and activities in the Quality Control Lab on the floor.
 Maintain inspection equipment in QC Lab, inspections, test methods and troubleshoot
any issues with inspection equipment.
 Follow the non-conformance product control and standard operation procedures.
 Apply lean principles to the QC management systems and work towards the elimination
of waste.
 Provide review and approval of product criteria on a daily basis with production
personnel.
 Manage first article reports, last article reports and processes.
 Manage the Infinity SPC system specifications and maintain as needed
 Manage Raw Materials Specifications and incoming supply inspection process.
Manage the heldware process
 Maintain heldware inventory, process to rework, manage rework teams, disposition, and
implement processes to reduce occurrences.
Management Nonconformance responses/ Customer interface
 Maintains customer compliant system to include the coordination, information, RCCA
activities and creation of customer response.
 Prepares NCF responses as necessary.

 Provide regulatory information to customers.

 Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with support departments, shifts, and between management and union levels.
 Maintains a high level of customer and vendor relationship skills, problem solving skills, and a strong work ethic to maintain competitive positioning and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
 Provide plan training for Quality and Food Safety. Job Specifications and Education Requirements:
 Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; or 4-10 years of Quality management experience and training; or combination of both education and experience.
 Experience in high density polyethylene bottle blow molding manufacturing desired.
 Ability to work both independently and with a team to facilitate and foster positive employee morale.  Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Working knowledge of statistics, control limits, specifications, and process control philosophy.
 Working knowledge in implementation and maintenance of computer systems and work processes. Experience with Infinity SPC systems a plus.
 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
 Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.  Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to customers and vendors.  Food Safety Certification  HACCP Certification  Training and working knowledge of GMPs/ PRPs
