Electrical Engineer – Forensics - Tennessee or the Southeast
We’re partnering with a highly respected forensic engineering firm to find a talented Forensic Electrical Engineer for their growing Tennessee team. This is a unique opportunity to join a firm that values deep technical skill, professional growth, and meaningful project variety.
What You’ll Do:
As a Forensic Electrical Engineer, you'll lead investigations into electrical system failures and equipment damage. You'll perform on-site assessments, conduct root cause analysis, evaluate electrical and mechanical systems, and write detailed, defensible reports for legal, insurance, and industrial clients.
You’ll also:

Assess solar power systems (if applicable)

Analyze damaged electrical infrastructure and equipment

Evaluate corrosion, materials, and mechanical properties

Estimate repair or replacement costs

Work directly with clients, attorneys, and peers

Manage multiple complex projects from start to finish

Provide deposition or expert witness testimony (if experienced)
What We’re Looking For:
Technical Requirements
-
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. a plus)

Licensed P.E. in a Southeastern U.S. state (or eligible within 6 months)

3+ years of forensic investigation/reporting experience preferred

Familiarity with failure analysis, industrial systems, and equipment

Experience with solar power systems is a huge plus

Prior expert witness or deposition experience is highly valued

Proficiency with software tools like AutoCAD, MathCAD, and MS Office
