WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Providing leadership to a production maintenance staff of technicians performing day-to-day preventative and reactive maintenance. Ensuring production goals are met with the highest quality output and equipment is in good operating condition, minimizing downtime and production part rejects by:
- Being attentive to your team, ensuring clarity of expectations and providing training and coaching as needed.
- Providing leadership through performance planning using Continuous Improvement Discussions to ensure achievement of departmental targets.
- Developing and maintaining budgets.
- Accurately and timely reporting of assigned KPIs.
- Coordinating maintenance/repair improvement projects and ordering the necessary parts for projects in order to contribute to reducing reject rates and cycle times.
- Conducting, delegating, and developing training programs for technicians
- Ensuring maximum machine efficiency by addressing problems and theorizing improvement ideas.
- Delegating, supervising and reporting of Continuous Improvement Activities.
- Preparing and presenting reports to management
- Directing and/or attending PDCA meetings
- Attending or conducting interviews for potential new hires
- Delegating and participating in daily maintenance/repair duties.
- Monitoring compliance in regards to ordering parts for inventory, repairs, and improvement projects, ensuring targets are met
- Managing manufacturing downtime and implementing countermeasures based on downtime reports utilizing the Plan, Do, Act, Check (PDCA) process.
- Tracking, updating and posting downtime and reject PDCAs.
- Creating PDCAs based on excessive downtime and reject identification; investigating by performing a Root Cause analysis.
- Ensuring maintenance areas cleanliness meets expectations and follows Lean 2S3D rules.
- Auditing finished work on a set basis
HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
- You have 3-years of maintenance experience.
- You have 1-year supervisory experience.
- You are familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Expertise in manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of mechanical components (gears, bearings, shafts, etc)
- Knowledge of pneumatics (cylinders,, valves, pressure regulators)
- Knowledge of AC motors, DC motors and Servo motors
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Ability to work past scheduled shift on short notice
- These qualifications are preferred but not necessary for you to get started:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Experience using maintenance management software
- Experience with PLC programming
- Experience with robotics and automation
- Knowledge and experience with machine vision and other sensing systems operations and/or programming
- Experience working with photo electric sensors and proximity sensors
- Ability to use Microsoft Access Data Base
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting up to 40 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- General Office Environment (3) hours per day
- Manufacturing Environment (5) hour per day
- Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
- Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.
