Summary:

Play a critical role in designing, implementing, and improving electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment. Develop innovative solutions to increase quality, productivity, and safety. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:

·        Design, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, components, and systems

·        Develop electrical control systems per engineering standards, codes, specs, and budget

·        Create and update design layouts for manufacturing equipment

·        Program and maintain software for PLCs, robots, and NC machinery

·        Redesign systems to improve quality, safety, and productivity while reducing costs

·        Collaborate on cross-functional teams to resolve design, quality, and safety issues

·        Select and evaluate components for control systems

·        Ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations

·        Prepare equipment and material specifications for purchase

·        Stay current with electrical engineering technologies and systems

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience

·        Strong attention to detail, quality-focused work habits

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision

·        Experience with product launches and process development

·        Proficient in PLC programming, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems

·        Proficient with NC-controlled machinery

·        Working knowledge of robotic systems

·        In-depth understanding of NFPA 70E and arc flash requirements
