SUMMARY: Lead the implementation of new features and capabilities for highly- scalable, modernized platform which encompasses middleware, microservices platform and CI/CD pipeline. The successful candidate is an accomplished technical lead and hands-on engineer with multiple large-scale, distributed services implementations under their belt and has a passion for building modernized, distributed, mission-critical systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain solid understanding of the business process, workflows, and data.
- Work with project managers during scoping and requirements sessions.
- Assist in technical specifications and other deliverable documents.
- Collaborate with enterprise and application architects to implement new solutions and improvise existing solutions.
· Build, configure, support and document new and existing environments.
· Develop and document disaster recovery plans and participate in testing to ensure environment is recoverable within pre-determined SLAs.
- Plan for and apply application software patches.
- Develop, Implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines following best practices.
- Become subject-matter expert (SME) on assigned software packages for support.
- Provide guidance and mentor junior members of the team.
· Build & maintain data pipelines and data assets in ElasticSearch.
· Provide searching services with a high data quality control standard.
- Develop, implement and maintain Data Flows following the best practices.
- Refine and improve current Data Flow processes.
- Create Vault policies and assess Vault tokens.
- Compare and configure Vault secrets engine.
- Provide on-call support for production environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience with either one of the tools Apache NiFi, ElasticSearch or HashiCorp Vault with expertise in installation, configuration, support, analysis of logs and performance tuning.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience supporting middleware and packaged applications.
- Hands-on experience administering Java containers such as WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, Tomcat or Weblogic with expertise in installation, support, analysis of logs and performance tuning.
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes container orchestration tools a huge plus.
- Experience in modern automation tools and DevOps principles a huge plus.
- Excellent knowledge of supporting software solutions on Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with Continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, Azure DevOps, Git a huge plus.
- Understanding of network standards, such as DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP, IP, QoS and ICMP.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as load balancing and routing; ability to carry out basic network troubleshooting in a server runtime.
- Comfortable with scripting languages such as Ansible, bash, perl, Powershell and python to automate tasks
- Experience using APM products like Dynatrace a plus.
