We are conducting a search on behalf of a specialized management consulting firm that delivers measurable improvements in supply chain, logistics, procurement, and operations. The firm is expanding its footprint in the distribution and fulfillment space, and we are seeking a senior business development professional to lead those efforts.
This is a hunter role—ideal for someone who thrives on opening new accounts, cultivating executive relationships, and driving growth across sectors that rely on complex distribution, warehousing, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new consulting engagements in distribution-heavy environments (e.g., industrial manufacturing, consumer products, transportation, medical device supply chains)
- Sell high-value operations consulting services to VP and C-level executives
- Develop and execute a focused sales strategy targeting companies with pressing distribution, warehousing, and logistics challenges
- Partner with internal delivery teams to ensure expectations and capabilities are aligned pre-sale
- Travel for client meetings and industry events as needed (typically several overnight trips/month)
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven success selling consulting services in operations, distribution, or logistics
- A hunter mentality with a track record of developing and closing complex B2B sales
- Established relationships in target industries and comfort selling to executive-level decision-makers
- Strong knowledge of the distribution value chain: warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying tightly integrated with the firm’s senior team
