Summary
Step into a pivotal leadership role with the clear path to FSQA Manager as this fast-growing food manufacturing company scales operations and launches a second shift. As the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor, you won’t just maintain systems—you’ll build them. This is a highly visible role where your expertise in USDA regulations, HACCP, and RTE manufacturing standards will shape the future of the plant’s food safety and quality culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily FSQA activities across the facility and guide QA staff in meeting USDA and RTE food safety standards
- Build, revise, and implement robust HACCP plans and prerequisite programs
- Identify and close gaps in current policies, programs, and food safety documentation
- Prepare for and participate in internal, customer, third-party, and USDA audits
- Coach, train, and schedule QA technicians; provide clear direction and leadership
- Own traceability, recall, supplier approval, and regulatory response processes
- Collaborate with production, sanitation, and warehousing to ensure quality is built into every process
- Develop SOPs, manage environmental monitoring, and ensure documentation is audit-ready
- Support new shift ramp-up by training new team members and scaling systems
- Translate food safety policies and training (Spanish fluency strongly preferred)
Requirements
- BS degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field is required
- 2+ years of experience in QA or food safety within a USDA-regulated facility; RTE experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GFSI, and audit protocols
- Proficient with QA software and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environments with evolving processes
