About the Role:
Our client, an FDA-regulated manufacturing facility, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Louisville, KY. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in food or chemical manufacturing who are experienced in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed packaging and processing equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically proficient, safety-minded, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems including filling equipment, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime

Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving up to 480V systems

Maintain documentation of maintenance activities in compliance with FDA and company requirements

Work safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and plant safety protocols

Support equipment installation and startup for new or upgraded systems

Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to support production demands
Qualifications / Requirements:

2+ years of maintenance experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Proven experience with PLCs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and 480V electrical systems

Knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
