Our client, a respected and growing organization in the design, manufacturing and distribution space, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on accounting responsibilities, from inventory and payroll to journal entries and tax filings. What You'll Be Doing:
In this highly visible role, you’ll take the lead on a variety of accounting and operational functions, including:

Managing and maintaining the general ledger, project codes, and department accounts

Setting up and reviewing posting groups to ensure system accuracy

Overseeing bank reconciliations and validating daily reports

Calculating monthly fringe benefits and handling reclass entries

Preparing monthly payroll accruals and managing payroll tax returns

Administering 1099 records and ensuring timely submission

Uploading ACH and POSPAY files through the bank’s online platform

Leading inventory cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies with warehouse supervisors

Verifying inventory receipts and ensuring accurate ERP flow

Reviewing sales and purchase transactions, warehouse transfers, and inventory movements

Approving inventory adjustments and monitoring manual entries

Entering journal entries into the accounting system with precision

Serving as a key point of contact for payroll concerns and processing commissions

Providing backup support across the accounting department as needed

Tackling special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA designation strongly preferred

5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a complex environment

Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications

Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly with minimal supervision

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

A detail-driven mindset with the ability to reconcile data and meet tight deadlines
