Field Service Technician – Industrial Equipment Manufacturer

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and training activities for a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment. This role is a critical front-line position responsible for ensuring optimal performance of machinery at customer sites. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling extensively, working independently, and serving as a trusted technical advisor. You’ll play a key part in delivering customer satisfaction, resolving technical issues, and enabling long-term operational success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and operational support of equipment at customer sites.

  • Deliver hands-on and classroom-based training to customer personnel and junior technicians.

  • Support remote troubleshooting and diagnostics for mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.

  • Identify and report design or manufacturing issues and support implementation of long-term corrective actions.

  • Maintain detailed service records and collaborate with internal departments on warranty or process matters.


Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or equipment service roles; experience in HMA, Concrete, or Combustion industries is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; able to read technical drawings and schematics.

  • Skilled in MIG and stick welding, torch use, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.

  • Willing and able to travel extensively (including international) and be available 24/7 for emergency dispatch when required.

  • Proficient in communication, troubleshooting, and using tools such as Microsoft Office and remote diagnostics platforms.


Additional Information:

  • No direct reports, but mentoring and cross-training of peers is expected.

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are key.

  • Must be comfortable operating independently in dynamic environments.
