Job description:
Are you a natural leader with a passion for construction and building teams that deliver exceptional results? We are seeking a dynamic General Foreman to oversee daily operations on a busy construction site. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of site performance, safety, and quality delivery on high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage on-site construction teams, ensuring work schedules, productivity, and quality standards are met.
- Act as the central point of communication between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Monitor and control crew costs through effective manpower planning, work methods, and equipment use.
- Work closely with the Project Superintendent to pre-plan schedules, resources, and project milestones.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries to avoid downtime and delays.
- Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to plan site procedures.
- Set and track production goals while ensuring progress meets deadlines.
- Oversee site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and design standards.
- Deliver safety training to crews and promote a culture of accountability on site.
- Investigate and report on accidents, damage, or safety incidents where required.
- Submit accurate daily reports on progress and resource usage to the Superintendent.
Qualifications:
Skills & Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership/foreman role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and project specifications.
- Proven track record in supervising teams and managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Drivers License required.
