Job description:

We are seeking an Audit Supervising Senior to oversee client engagements in the Assurance & Advisory practice. This role is ideal for experienced public accounting professionals who have progressed in managing complex audit assignments and are ready to take on greater supervisory responsibility, while still being closely engaged in hands-on client work.

As a Supervising Senior, you will act as the bridge between Staff/Experienced Staff and Managers, ensuring quality work, efficient engagement execution, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for supervising audit engagements and special assignments, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Plan engagement phases, prepare budgets, monitor performance, and ensure deliverables meet professional standards.
  • Review working papers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with disclosure requirements.
  • Evaluate clients internal control systems and document findings.
  • Provide training, coaching, and constructive feedback to staff accountants and experienced staff.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, notes, tax returns, and management letters for subsequent manager/partner review.
  • Communicate engagement progress, issues, and financial details to clients in a professional manner.
  • Identify and raise significant accounting and reporting issues for discussion with Managers or Partners.
  • Participate in practice development initiatives, including identifying opportunities to expand client services.
  • Supervise, instruct, and review work of Staff and Experienced Staff, guiding revisions as necessary.

Qualifications:

Qualifications & Skills
  • 45 years of progressive public accounting experience, demonstrating increasing complexity and responsibility across engagements.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Solid technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and audit methodology.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator, capable of mentoring and training junior team members.
  • Commitment to high-quality client service and continuous professional growth.
