As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at ZaiNar, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge 3D positioning solutions. You’ll lead the design of robust automation frameworks, conduct comprehensive testing (manual, automated, performance, and mobile), and implement scalable test data strategies to support fast, high-quality releases. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

●      Independently design and deliver QA automation solutions within an Agile framework, including sprint planning and backlog prioritization.

●      Collaborate with engineering teams to provide timely updates, communicate blockers, and share accurate information on project status.

●      Define and uphold testing standards, ensuring essential procedures are followed and best practices are implemented.

●      Develop and implement scalable automation solutions to capture, organize, and maintain real-time test data for validation, tracking, and performance monitoring.

●      Perform manual testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify edge cases outside the automation scope.

●      Conduct performance testing to validate system scalability and responsiveness.

●      Perform mobile testing to validate application behavior across a range of mobile devices. ● Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable releases.

●      Contribute to defining metrics-driven quality goals, ensuring alignment with business and product objectives.

●      Help drive and support bi-weekly release cycles by ensuring both manual and automated testing provide fast, reliable regression coverage.

MUST HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS 

●      Extensive hands-on experience developing and executing automated tests and frameworks in Python using tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Appium, and Playwright. ● Experience in scripting for log capture and analysis using browser developer tools.

●      Familiarity with test case management and planning software (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, TestLink).

●      Hands-on experience integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).

●      Strong SQL skills for validating test data across relational and NoSQL databases. ● Experience running tests in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).

●      Exposure to load/stress testing tools (Artillery, JMeter, Locusts) and monitoring performance metrics.

●      Ability to self-manage complex issues and drive business goals forward within a startup environment.

●      Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to appreciate diverse work disciplines in a collaborative setting.

●      Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to advocate ideas and accept feedback constructively.

●      Flexibility to work in US Pacific Time Zone hours, with occasional testing coverage extending into Asia Time Zones.

●      Strong advocate for quality metrics (test coverage, defect leakage, flakiness rate) and driving improvements.

SHOULD HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS

●      Proficiency with AWS Console logs to monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues.

●      Knowledge of statistical methods to evaluate release quality and track performance metrics.

●      Strong experience in Agile development, with the ability to participate effectively in iterative sprints and influence quality practices within the company

●      Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, New Relic, Datadog) to support debugging and test triage.

●      Experience with Postman for API testing and validation.

●      Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

●      Database automation experience for streamlining data validation and management.

●      Previous technical leadership or management experience, particularly in guiding QA processes and standards.

NICE TO HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS

●      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

●      Development experience with Java for broader scripting versatility.

●      Familiarity with mobile application deployment, including code signing with tools such as FastLane, GitHub Actions, or TestFlight.

●      Previous technical leadership or management experience, particularly in guiding QA processes and standards.

●      Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) testing (Terraform, CloudFormation).

●      Prior work in high-growth startup or global-scale environments balancing speed with quality.
