A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most sophisticated and high-profile M&A transactions in the technology and life sciences sectors, advising both public and private companies on strategic deals of global impact.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
- 6–8 years of substantive experience handling public and private company M&A and other strategic transactions
- Experience serving as a lead associate on M&A transactions, including heading the M&A team and supervising junior associates
- Demonstrated ability to draft definitive transaction agreements and manage due diligence, disclosure letters, and closing processes
- Highly proficient in leading negotiations with transaction counterparties, managing client relationships, and collaborating across practice groups
- Prior AmLaw or similarly sophisticated law firm experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Represent tech and life sciences clients in strategic M&A transactions
- Lead the deal team through negotiations with counterparties and the structuring and execution of complex transactions
- Draft and review transaction documents, including definitive agreements, disclosure letters, and closing deliverables
- Supervise junior associates and oversee process management across all phases of a deal
- Collaborate with attorneys across practices to provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients
- Manage client relationships through responsive and solution-oriented service

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $390,000 – $435,000, commensurate with experience
