The Senior Chemical Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the
impregnation machine used for impregnating fiberglass materials with UP resin. This
position plays a key role in daily production, ensuring product quality, machine
performance, and supporting other operators on the line. The ideal candidate has
hands-on experience with machine operation, good mechanical skills, and the ability to
work in a team environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor the impregnation machine to ensure smooth and
continuous production.
- Handle fiberglass rolls, UP resin, and other materials according to standard
operating procedures.
- Follow production schedules and ensure that machine parameters are set
correctly to meet product specifications.
- Perform visual and weight checks to verify product quality throughout the
process.
- Support and guide other machine operators when needed to maintain workflow
and efficiency.
- Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and line preparation for different product runs.
- Detect and report any mechanical or process issues immediately to maintenance
or Team leads.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and
housekeeping requirements.
- Complete daily production reports and required documentation accurately.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and use of
PPE.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams to improve efficiency
and resolve operational challenges.
- Follow and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing
process optimizations.
- Mentor and train junior operators, providing technical guidance and knowledge-
sharing without direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing
environment.
- Experience working with fiberglass and resin processes preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate production equipment.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to fiberglass, chemicals, and moderate to high
noise levels.
- Always required use of PPE.
