What Youll Do- Take ownership of project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
- Lead project planning, contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance for multiple active developments.
- Provide expert guidance in subdivision design, grading, drainage, utility coordination, and agency permitting.
- Collaborate with clients to provide proactive consulting solutions that drive their land development goals.
- Build long-term client relationships, pursue repeat business, and actively identify new project opportunities.
- Represent the firm with professionalism in meetings, presentations, and public forums.
- Contribute to leadership discussions on office planning, resource allocation, and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
What You Bring- Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Planning (Masters preferred).
- Licensure: California Professional Engineer (PE) required or equivalent experience with the ability to obtain CA registration.
- Experience: 10+ years in civil engineering or land development, with at least 5 years in a project management or leadership capacity.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of land development processes, private consulting environments, and project lifecycle management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/drafting tools and project management software.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively across all levels.
