Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a talented junior Associate Attorney to join their Managed Care Team as part of their Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group in Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career litigator who's interested in insurance and/or health sciences matters to work on sophisticated commercial litigation alongside an accomplished team.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
- 2–4 years of substantive experience with complex commercial litigation and arbitration
- Demonstrated interest in insurance and/or health sciences is strongly preferred
- Managed care experience is a plus, but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong public speaking ability
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance in all legal matters
- Collaborative, collegial, and committed to professional excellence
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel insurance companies, health maintenance organizations, and claims administrators on sophisticated managed care issues
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, providing support throughout the process
- Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research, develop case strategy, and support trial preparation
- Collaborate with partners and team members on case analysis and execution
