Role Overview: CT Technologist
This position supports diagnostic imaging services by performing computed tomography (CT) procedures in a clinical care environment. The CT Technologist works collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams to ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and high standards of care across diverse patient populations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures based on provider orders and established clinical protocols
- Operate CT imaging equipment while maintaining image quality and radiation safety standards
- Assess patient conditions, history, and special considerations (including age-related needs) prior to imaging
- Adjust imaging techniques and positioning to ensure optimal diagnostic results
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation within imaging and health record systems
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with radiologists, clinical staff, and support teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain ongoing competency with imaging technology and procedural updates
Required Qualifications
- Education meeting eligibility requirements for professional certification, licensure, or registration as a diagnostic imaging technologist
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider
- Active state-issued medical imaging license or authorization at time of hire
- Active national registration in radiologic technology or nuclear medicine technology
- Ability to obtain advanced CT certification within a defined timeframe if not already held
