Job description:
- Own and grow a Houston-based territory through aggressive prospecting and relationship development across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution clients
- Sell custom corrugated boxes and packaging solutions tailored to customer specifications, operations, and cost objectives
- Drive new business while expanding existing accounts within the Greater Houston and surrounding Gulf Coast region
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, quoting, closing, and account management
- Partner closely with internal production and design teams to deliver custom, cost-effective packaging solutions
- Conduct in-person client visits throughout Houston and the surrounding areas to strengthen relationships and close business
- Prepare RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations aligned with customer needs
- Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales activity using CRM tools
- Stay connected to local market trends, key industries (energy, food & beverage, industrial manufacturing), and competitive landscape
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of packaging sales experience (must have corrugated sale experience)
- Proven success in selling into the Houston market and developing new business
- Strong understanding of custom packaging solutions vs. commodity sales
- An established network within Houston's manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is a major plus
- Ability to manage a territory independently with a hunter-driven mindset
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelors degree preferred
