Job description:

Our client is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer Distribution to serve as a disciplinary lead on electrical distribution design projects supporting utility clients. Locations: Ann Arbor, MI | Raleigh, NC | Orlando, FL.

IN OFFICE 3 DAYS/WEEK

This role offers the opportunity to manage full life cycle engineering projects from planning and design through construction support and closeout working directly with utility clients on meaningful, high-impact distribution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as single disciplinary lead for electrical distribution design on assigned projects
  • Manage and perform engineering activities across the full project life cycle
  • Develop engineering calculations, specifications, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings
  • Provide technical guidance and quality review on project deliverables
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines
  • Support business development and client relationship activities
  • Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with utility clients
  • Full project life cycle experience (project engineering from concept through construction)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active P.E. license preferred
  • Experience with overhead and underground distribution design
  • Familiarity with NESC, utility standards, and distribution planning
  • Experience with protection and automation systems
  • Strong client-facing and project coordination skills
