The Job You Will Perform:

The 2nd shift supervisor will be assigned 2nd shift of hourly employees. Will be responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.

Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts.

Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of positive attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.

Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.

Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.

Other duties as required.

Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate has a strong understanding and working knowledge of the corrugator and the box-making industry/processes. This is a supervisor role on 2nd shift. Leadership ability and communication skills are critical to success. The ability to work successfully with new employees and provide training and support to both new hires and seasoned team members, while building a positive team atmosphere and collaboration on the shift is also essential. The incoming supervisor should also be coachable and have a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating across shifts/departments and with management as well.

Qualifications:

The Skills You Will Bring:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Corrugated industry experience is required.

Two years of manufacturing experience is required.

Supervisory experience is required.
