We are recruiting for a Legal AI Adoption Counsel to help drive the responsible, practical use of generative AI across a national law firm’s practices.
This role sits within the Client & Innovation function and works closely with attorneys, practice leaders, IT, professional development, training, research, marketing, and business development teams. The focus is turning AI strategy into real workflows, practical training, and measurable value for attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead live and virtual training on firm-approved generative AI tools
Coach attorneys and legal teams on using AI in day-to-day legal work
Build practical guides, checklists, playbooks, FAQs, and internal resources
Partner with practice leaders to identify high-value AI use cases
Help pilot, refine, and scale AI-enabled workflows across matters and teams
Support AI tool evaluations, rollouts, vendor training, and adoption planning
Reinforce responsible AI use, including confidentiality, supervision, client expectations, and professional responsibility considerations
Track adoption, feedback, usage trends, and business impact
Requirements:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Hands-on experience using legal generative AI tools
Background in legal innovation, knowledge management, legal operations, practice management, or a related legal services role
Strong understanding of law firm operations, matter management, staffing, and billing
Excellent communication, presentation, training, and facilitation skills
Ability to build trust with attorneys and influence adoption without formal authority
Practical, client-focused mindset with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience practicing law in a law firm or corporate legal department
Experience designing learning programs for professional audiences
Ability to explain AI tools in clear, practical language for lawyers
