Job description:

CLIENT: CJR Renewables.

LOCATION: Start in Houston, TX office, then relocate to project site in Alamogordo, NM.

PAY: Budgeted at $130,000/year; flexible for the right fit (higher range candidates welcome).

PER DIEM: $120/day, 7 days/week, except while on rotation. Rotation travel is paid by CJR; no hotels are booked for rotation - employee uses per diem to cover lodging.

VEHICLE: Company truck provided for work-related purposes once on the Alamogordo, NM project site.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: U.S. work experience required; not eligible for sponsorship.

MISSION: The Mechanical Superintendent supervises and directs field crews, subcontractors, and supporting functions (Safety, QA/QC, Project Controls, Logistics) for the mechanical scope of a utility-scale renewable energy construction project. Ensures construction operations are performed safely, in accordance with OSHA requirements, project specifications, QA/QC standards, and within budget and schedule. Reports to the General Superintendent/Construction Manager daily.

Qualifications:

5+ years of field supervisory experience in utility-scale renewable energy construction (solar or BESS preferred)

OSHA 30 required (OSHA 10 acceptable for onboarding)

Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Ability to read plans, interpret specifications, and make operational decisions

Experience with Procore or other construction management platforms preferred

Ability to travel/relocate temporarily to project sites as required (up to 80-100%)
