Finance Manager-Real Estate
Fund Reporting & Direct Real Estate Investments

Our client is an established real estate investor. With more than 100 talented professionals, the firm has built a
sizable portfolio of assets across multiple funds. Its investment results are impressive, and it continues to build
out its organization.
THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will be responsible for accounting and reporting oversight for investment fund reporting
and a sub-portfolio of direct real estate investments. The role also includes involvement in team initiatives such
as valuations, process enhancements and the annual budget process.

This individual will be the financial and accounting partner to other enterprise teams, including Legal, Tax,
Investment, Compliance, Asset Management, Investor Relations, Capital Markets and Portfolio Analytics, and
will be expected to provide financial and accounting insight for assigned investments within the portfolio.
The Manager will provide oversight and guidance for assigned fund vehicles and investments, including cash
movements, quarterly accounting packages from subsidiary joint ventures, fund and investor reporting, and
complex transactions such as ownership transfers and partial sales. Certain funds report on a fair value basis
and follow the REIS (Real Estate Investment Scheme) non-operating model.
This individual will work closely with the entire Finance team to execute the quarterly close for assigned fund
vehicles and direct real estate investments. This process requires in-depth analysis and understanding of the
real estate portfolio and complex fund structures, including ongoing documentation of significant matters. An
important part of this process is continuous communication with the investment team and support for its need
for relevant, timely financial information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Overseeing fund-level quarterly and annual financial reporting, including Yardi-based fair value U.S. GAAP
reporting, through review of underlying workpapers and investment activity
-Analyzing and reviewing promote and management fee calculations, including non-recurring transactions
such as ownership transfers and complex sales
-Analyzing investment and fund activities to ensure compliance with governing documents
- Researching current industry guidance and its applicability to the real estate portfolio
Cash & Transactions
calls and distributions
-Analyzing fund-level cash positions and anticipating upcoming needs, including coordinating investor capital
-Coordinating with investment team members on acquisitions, dispositions and refinancings
-Collaborating internally and externally to ensure timely funding of capital needs across assigned investments
External & Audit Coordination
-Coordinating with the fund administrator on a variety of tasks, including the setup of new real estate
investments and the financial statement review process
-Facilitating the annual fund-level audit by coordinating deliverables and responding promptly to auditor
-Facilitating communication with joint venture partners to obtain relevant accounting detail and insight into the
requests
accounting and valuation process
-Supporting other teams on portfolio investment matters and on valuation- and finance-related issues
People & Process
-Providing oversight and coaching to junior team members
-Contributing to efficiency and process improvement initiatives, including AI enablement
-Addressing investor inquiries, including preparing and reviewing investor-specific deliverables


Qualifications:

-Five to eight years of relevant accounting experience in the real estate industry, preferably with a real estate
-Bachelor of Science in Accounting; CPA designation strongly preferred
-Strong understanding of real estate valuation, portfolio operations and financial reporting
- Fund reporting and/or public accounting experience preferred
-General understanding of real estate investment trusts (REITs)
-Proficiency with fair value reporting and promote calculations
- Yardi experience preferred but not required
-Demonstrated process improvement mindset, including use of IT tools and AI
-Knowledge of, and demonstrated interest in, financial markets and products

$130,000$150,000
