Job Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care to help patients achieve their maximum functional level, focusing on orthopedic and neurological conditions.
- Implement treatment plans by administering manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Encourage and assist patients in ambulatory and daily-living activities, applying assistive and supportive care as needed.
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results, collaborating with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Document patient care services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring adherence to legal and professional standards.
- Conduct follow-up visits for home health orthopedic patients and maintain eligibility for home health services.
- Provide maintenance therapy as required.
- Driving to patient locations is a requirement.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Possession of in-state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Minimum of one year of experience in home health as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
