A prominent, nationally recognized law firm is seeking highly skilled and motivated Project Finance Associates with 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience to join their Finance Practice Group and thriving Energy Sector. The position is available in several major office locations, including Houston, Los Angeles, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, or Washington, DC. Key Responsibilities:
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex transaction documents, including credit agreements, tax equity documents, and related project finance agreements.
- Conducting comprehensive due diligence for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance and identifying potential risks across various deal components.
- Collaborating with subject-matter specialists to manage reviews of project documents and bring transactions to successful closings.
- Advising clients on tax credit transactions and renewable energy finance strategies, with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.
- Supporting the development of long-term strategic goals for the firm’s growing Energy Sector, including expanding the firm’s presence in renewable energy markets.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is an experienced transactional attorney who thrives in fast-paced, client-driven environments and is passionate about renewable energy. Required qualifications include:
- 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions, with substantial exposure to due diligence and complex deal structures.
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including financing and tax-related agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and team members.
- A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and good standing with a state Bar. Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office’s jurisdiction is a condition of employment.
