Job Summary

We are seeking a Civil BIM Manager to lead the integration and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in land development projects. This role will oversee BIM workflows, model coordination, and implementation of best practices for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in BIM, expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience managing project deliverables in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

BIM Implementation & Management

  • Develop and implement BIM standards, workflows, and best practices for the Land Development team.
  • Oversee BIM model creation, management, and quality control to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Establish project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) to standardize documentation and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards, protocols, and client requirements across all projects.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless BIM integration.
  • Act as the main point of contact for BIM-related matters with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Facilitate clash detection and resolution processes to optimize project efficiency.
  • Lead BIM coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.

Training & Development

  • Provide training and technical support to staff on BIM tools and methodologies.
  • Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and industry trends to improve departmental capabilities.
  • Maintain BIM standards documentation, training materials, and workflow guidelines.

Project Support

  • Assist with site designs, grading plans, and infrastructure layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Contribute to hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for drainage and environmental compliance.
  • Support permit applications and regulatory compliance for land development projects.

Technology & Software Management

  • Manage BIM software licenses, updates, and integrations for project teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend new BIM tools and technologies to enhance workflows and efficiency.
  • Ensure teams maximize the use of BIM technology to meet project goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required).
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona (preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years focused on BIM management in land development projects.
  • Proven experience with BIM workflows and tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage design, and permitting requirements in land development.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Certifications in BIM management (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, LEED).
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD, SWMM).
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
