Sales Consultant – Water Treatment / Technician (Philadelphia or Baltimore area)
About the Job:
The Service technician role includes challenges, independence and variety make this an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs tests to determine chemical levels and system parameters. This requires observing color changes.
- Handles common water treatment industry chemicals.
- Fills chemical tanks per specifications. Must perform basic calculations and lift up to 75 pounds and be able to move 150 pounds.
- Repairs and calibrates all equipment. Requires basic electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Uses basic wiring skills for voltages up to 240 volts.
- Installs equipment for sales order specifications.
- Fills out service reports and related forms completely, accurately, and legibly.
- Learn the technical information about identifying and understanding systems, water treatment and equipment needed to be a successful Sales Consultant.
- New business development.
- Performing customer technical surveys.
- Generating proposals and conducting presentations.
- Selling service contracts, equipment and performance contracts.
- Maintaining customer relationships.
- Insuring the profitability of each customer.
Requirements:
- Client is looking for an out-going, technically-minded individual with a burning desire to succeed. Must have a technical ability to learn and understand the water treatment sales and service process. Knowledge of engineering, chemistry and biology are a plus. Some past experience in sales is preferred but is not required.
- Prefer candidate with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or science background.
