JOB TITLE
General Assembly Bilingual Vehicle Engineering Assistant Manager
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-
Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.

Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.

Prepare specification packages after reviewing requirements (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, Ergonomics, etc.) and submit purchasing requests for new projects.

Control overall New Model Project budget.

Support vehicle launch and production by bridging communication between Korean technical teams and local teams.

Translate technical documents and meetings from Korean to English as needed.

Communicate with engineering and R&D teams in Korea/USA for successful model launches.

Host video conferences regarding new vehicle design improvements and status updates.

Prepare Assembly Process Sheets considering method and line condition with detailed illustrations and text.

Explain work content visually and in detail according to work orders, status, and operator positioning.

Check the workability and quality of vehicle assembly.

Review vehicle drawings (e.g., tightening hardware and torque, vehicle dimensions) and design work processes aligned with assembly sequence.

Determine Man Hours using MODAPTS and optimize allocation. Analyze and continuously improve assigned area performance (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).

Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem-solving groups as directed by senior management.

Serve as technical expert for team members and leaders, providing training when required.

Support daily production issues as needed.

Review new technical developments and propose appropriate technology projects.

Prepare presentations/reports on project status, progress, and issues.

Manage labor allocation effectively.

Plan and gain approval for pilot build business trips.

Perform multi-tasking with multiple priorities within required timeframes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally; no restrictions for overseas travel or stays.

7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, fabrication, and/or production environments.

3+ years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.

Proficiency in English and Korean (business professional level).

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
