Job Title:  Laser Operator
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Range: $25 – $29 per hour

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Laser Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred) and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to maintain production standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred)

• Program machine movement and cycle speed

• Perform laser alignment and nozzle checks during setup

• Load raw materials and unload processed parts and skeletons

• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections of sheet metal parts

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment

• Work with aluminum, steel, and stainless materials

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow production schedules and meet quality standards

Qualifications/Requirements

• 3+ years of experience operating and setting up fiber optic laser machines with automation (Mazak preferred)

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints

• Skilled in basic inspection of sheet metal parts

• Proficient in using calipers, tape measures, and hand tools

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
