Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Bridge Engineer to lead and manage bridge and structural projects in Warrington, PA. This role is ideal for a senior engineer with extensive experience in bridge projects, client management, and structural design, who is ready to take on leadership and mentorship responsibilities.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, you will oversee the design, analysis, and delivery of bridge and structural projects while ensuring regulatory compliance, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. You will also assist senior management in growing the structural engineering discipline and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze new and existing structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and other infrastructure.
  • Plan, secure, and manage all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permitting.
  • Conduct and oversee bridge inspections.
  • Draft and prepare effective project proposals.
  • Provide construction support services, including contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure compliance with budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in civic and professional organizations (ASCE, NSPE, Chamber of Commerce) to enhance the firms presence.
  • Support senior management in growing the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline and maintaining client relationships.
  • Transition into developing, managing, and mentoring a team of Structural Engineers and Designers, with financial responsibilities including utilization, profit, and overhead.

Qualifications:

What You Bring
  • Education: B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering (advanced degree a plus).
  • Credentials: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Pennsylvania required; New Jersey preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in structural/bridge engineering with progressive project management experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of bridge design, structural software (including PennDOT programs), and experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects highly preferred.
  • Client & Agency Experience: Proven ability to manage clients and work with local/state agencies.
  • Leadership: Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills; capable of mentoring and leading a team.
  • Technical Tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
