Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager Structural Engineer to oversee structural engineering projects in Warrington, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer to manage diverse projects, work closely with architects and agencies, and play a key role in developing the structural discipline within a respected firm.
The OpportunityAs Project Manager, youll lead the design and analysis of buildings, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other infrastructure projects. Youll coordinate directly with architects, clients, and agencies, while ensuring technical excellence, project efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role also offers leadership growth, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to departmental expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze new and existing structures, including buildings, bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Collaborate with architects to provide integrated building/structural engineering solutions.
- Secure, plan, and manage all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permitting.
- Perform and oversee structural inspections for buildings and bridges.
- Draft and prepare efficient project proposals.
- Manage construction support services, including contract administration, permitting, budgeting, and project coordination.
- Monitor project financials and reporting to ensure budget compliance.
- Engage in civic and professional organizations (ASCE, NSPE, Chamber of Commerce) to build industry presence.
- Support senior leadership in growing the Corporate Structural Engineering discipline and strengthening client relationships.
- Transition into mentoring and managing a structural engineering team, with responsibility for financial objectives such as utilization, profit, and overhead.
Qualifications:
What You Bring- Education: B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering (advanced degree a plus).
- Credentials: P.E. license in Pennsylvania required; New Jersey preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of structural engineering experience with projects including buildings, bridges, and retaining walls.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with PennDOT or Turnpike projects highly preferred; knowledge of structural design software, including PennDOT programs.
- Client & Agency Experience: Direct experience working with architects, local/state agencies, and clients.
- Leadership: Proven project management, client relations, and organizational skills; ability to grow into staff mentorship and departmental leadership.
- Technical Tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
