ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR
  • Davenport IA  (exceptional relocation package)
  • Compensation: Base salary range  Depending on exp $65-100K + strong bonus, + great  benefits + exceptional relocation package.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You'll be joining one of the most important heavy manufacturing companies in the US.  You will be working with an exceptional team that works very well together.  In this role, you'll be working closely with operations and management to ensure full compliance with all Environmental Regulations, as well as our rules/ guidelines for our Emergency Management System (EMS) and ISO 14001 Standards. You'll be supporting our Facilities and work closely with the Environmental Manager
 

ABOUT YOU / THE REQUIRED STUFF:
  • Current / Recent experience working in an ISO 14001 Program
  • Experience supporting facility environmental compliance regulations in a Heavy Manufacturing industry segment
  • Experience with Air Environmental Issues
  • Experience with Iowa Regulations strongly preferred
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point Experience
  • Experience auditing, and performing routine compliance inspections
  • Experience preparing state, local, and federal regulatory environmental reports
  • Bachelors Degree
 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Support the Plant Operations staff to ensure that all environmental regulatory compliances are met and regulations are being followed.
  • Take part in routine inspections/ Audits of plant operations and facilities and contractor facilities, to ensure compliance with permits, and regulations.
  • Maintain and update procedures in the ISO 14001 EMS (Environmental Management Systems) Procedure Manual, completing / preparing and filing all local, state, and federal regulatory reports.
  • Manage all documentation required by environmental permits, regulatory standards, and programs (e.g., air emission records, waste manifests, Discharge Monitoring Reports, inspections, etc.).
  • Verify the status of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products used by Operations, ensuring compliance with chemical inventory, reporting, spill response and notification requirements.
  • Serve as on-site coordinator in the event of a reportable environmental incident. Function as the Emergency Coordinator for any environmental incident in the absence of the Environmental Manager.

  • Maintain and complete all chemical reports required under Community Right to Know regulations.  
  • Oversee the management of scrap material and ensure compliance with the Scrap Management Plan (SMP).   
  • Serve as the onsite coordinator in the event of any reportable spill and support the Safety Department as required.
  • Attend professional training classes and business association meetings. Participate in environmental committee meetings.
