Our client, an international AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its DC team in a salaried, non-partnership track role. This benefits-eligible position offers a reduced billable hour target (1400-1800) and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record

Active Bar Admission in jurisdiction of the home office, in good standing
- Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia is strongly preferred and REQUIRED within 1 year of employment
- 4+ years of substantive employment litigation and counseling experience
- Extensive litigation experience, including depositions and arguing motions in court
- Experience drafting litigation-related documents and handling discovery
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel efficiently and professionally
- Highly proficient in running cases independently, managing deadlines and case dockets
- Ability to confidently engage directly with clients
- Traditional labor law and labor management relations experience are a plus
- Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills, along with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in employment litigation, including traditional labor law and labor management relations matters
- Take and defend depositions and engage in motion practice
- Draft discovery and other litigation-related documents, including memoranda, briefs, motions, and pleadings
- Communicate and negotiate directly with opposing counsel
- Independently progress employment law cases from inception through resolution
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive, client-focused legal solutions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $150,000 – $250,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
