Your Role with the Company
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be a key member of the RF & DSP engineering team, responsible for developing and supporting sophisticated embedded products for demanding defense and scientific environments.
You'll write and enhance embedded software, troubleshoot complex firmware issues, improve product reliability, and develop automated test solutions that ensure world-class product quality. Working alongside FPGA, hardware, and systems engineers, you'll investigate challenging technical problems, deploy innovative software solutions, and help shape future generations of embedded platforms.

Background Profile
Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of expertise in Embedded Software Development using C with the ability to write efficient, reliable, and maintainable embedded code.
  • Strong hands-on experience debugging embedded systems and working directly with hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware interactions in embedded environments.
  • Solid understanding of embedded system architecture and how software interfaces with hardware.
  • Experience developing embedded software for microcontroller or processor-based systems.
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
  • Experience working throughout the product lifecycle, including new product development, product improvements, and sustaining engineering.
Desired
  • Experience with Board Support Packages (BSPs) and low-level device driver development.
  • Embedded Linux or Yocto/PetaLinux development experience.
  • Experience working throughout the product lifecycle, including new product development, product improvements, and sustaining engineering.
  • Linux driver development and debugging.
  • Understanding of FPGA architecture and experience working alongside FPGA engineers.
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx development environments.
  • Python scripting for automation or test development.
  • Experience with Git, Continuous Integration, and modern software development workflows.
  • Familiarity with TestStand, LabVIEW, Bash, Tcl, or Expect.
  • Automated test software or engineering validation test development.
  • Experience interpreting PCB layouts and reviewing electrical schematics.
  • Experience with RTOS-based embedded systems.
  • Exposure to RF, DSP, data acquisition, or high-speed digital systems.
  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, telecommunications, robotics, industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, or medical device industries.
  • Customer-facing technical support experience.
  • Interest in learning multiple product families and expanding into adjacent engineering disciplines.
