Labor & Employment Class Action Associate Attorney / Mid-Level
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their Labor and Employment Class Action Practice Group in Chicago.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Illinois.
- 3–5 years of substantive experience in employment-related and/or class action litigation, with a desire for trial work.
- Experience defending wage and hour, employment discrimination, and EEOC/DOL claims.
- Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment issues.
- Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in complex employment litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions.
- Draft and prepare employment agreements, severance agreements, and workplace policies.
- Counsel clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Represent clients in depositions, witness interviews, and trial preparations.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes employment cases and transactional matters.
