ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – BIOMETRIC PRIVACY (BIPA) & COMPLEX CLASS ACTIONS

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its Complex Class Action & Biometric Privacy Practice Group in Chicago. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an attorney interested in providing clients with Biometric Information Privacy Act ("BIPA") and tech-related counseling and compliance, as well as defending technology providers and employers in BIPA class actions.
Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

Bar admission in Illinois.

2+ years of substantive experience in biometric privacy, class action defense, or related litigation.

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic legal counsel on BIPA compliance and related technology-driven privacy matters.

Defend clients in BIPA class action litigation, representing technology providers, employers, and other entities.

Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.

Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and risk mitigation approaches.

Stay current on emerging legal issues related to biometric privacy and evolving data protection laws.
