Newfound Associates is a Massachusetts based executive search firm, specializing in the Financial Services sector. Our Client, a well-regarded Regional Bank, headquartered in Massachusetts is currently seeking an Investment Portfolio Manager to join their respected Wealth Management Group. The position is technically Boston based but it is a hybrid position and there is flexibility on the office location.
The ideal candidate will make investment decisions for an assigned book of business of High Net Worth individuals on average $5MM-$10MM in AUM. In addition, as a part of the Investment Committee process, the Portfolio Manager would be assigned responsibility for investment research on a specific asset class or sector. The Portfolio Manager will also be involved with establishing the asset allocation strategy in accordance with the client’s Investment Policy Statement. The Portfolio Manager will participate in client meetings, support new business, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate must possess strong investment and communication skills with a minimum of 7-10 years of client facing experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration are very important in this role. An advanced Degree/Designation of CFA, CFP or MBA is preferred. Job Description
The Portfolio Manager makes investment decisions on portfolios for affluent to high net worth individuals and small/mid-sized institutions. It is required that the candidate communicate and actively participate in the investment philosophy and processes, including large cap core equity stock selection, domestic fixed income security selection, asset allocation and diversifying manager analysis.
Responsibilities
The portfolio manager should have experience meeting with clients and proactively maintaining contact to build positive account relationships. In this role the you will also support the new business efforts of the Investment Group in the marketing and selling of investment management and fiduciary services.

- Bachelors degree with emphasis on finance/economics; advanced degree MBA/CFA preferred
